Contract Position for Research Assistants | 2-3 Months

San Francisco Bay Area

We are hiring temporary, part-time contractors for a Technology Research project, on behalf of a global, premier User Research organization.

The contractors will be working 25-50 hours a week (depending on their availability) conducting in-context, fieldwork research in the South and East Bay Area, from September through December, 2017. You will be testing new, home electronics products with users that we have already recruited.

The ideal candidates are people who have graduated or are enrolled in research-oriented disciplines and who have a good knowledge of computers and technology. They must be enthusiastic, communicative, extroverted, focused, attentive, detail-oriented, and punctual.

They must be able to drive their own car to reach the locations in which fieldwork will take place.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ research experience
  • At least 9 units in research related courses
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Research experience
  • Technical Data Inputting
  • Computer troubleshooting skills 
  • Experience with Linux (nice to have, but not necessary)
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Sociable with can-do attitude
  • Quick phone response and clear presence
  • Flexible ability to deal with frequent changes
  • Enthusiastic, focused, and punctual.
  • Creative ability to adapt to varying circumstances
  • Must have a vehicle with active insurance


Hourly pay ($25-$30/hour, depending on level of expertise)

This is a 1099-type contract.
